The Constable Kenny Koala program is all about ensuring children in our community stay OK by increasing their awareness of the importance of safety, and the dangers of not staying safe. This is primarily achieved through direct engagement with children through school presentations.

Stay OK on the ROAD: Road safety

Duration: 30 minute presentation
Age groups: Available for all age groups

Themes covered:
• using safety equipment including seatbelts and helmets
• safe behaviours walking or riding on or near roads
• road rules for the car and road.

Stay OK at SCHOOL: Protective behaviours

Duration: 30 minute presentation
Age groups: Available for all age groups

Themes covered:
• bullying and peer pressure
• feeling safe at school
• who to speak to if you get into trouble or feel unsafe 
• looking after and being nice to your friends

Stay OK in the COMMUNITY: Protective behaviours

Duration: 30 minute presentation
Age groups: Available for all age groups

Themes covered:
• how to keep yourself safe
• dealing with strangers
• dangerous and unsafe objects
• drugs (legal and illegal)
• who to speak to if you get into trouble or feel unsafe.

Stay OK on the COMPUTER: Cyber safety

Duration: 30 minute presentation
Age groups: available for years three and four.

Presentations for years five and six are now presented by the Community Safety Education Diversion Team. Requests for year five and six cyber safety presentations can be made by visiting www.thinkuknow.org.au

• online safety/grooming
• effects and consequences of online actions
• cyber bullying
• peer pressure.

Stay OK for LIFE: Decision making and consequences

Duration: 45 minute presentation
Age groups: available for years five and six

Themes covered:
• thinking about consequences before acting
• immediate and long term consequences of actions/decisions
• how actions affect others.
